The Royal Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (RSCPA) is the largest animal welfare charity operating in the UK and is the oldest such charity in the world, having been founded in 1824. The charity runs a number of establishments scattered throughout the country, ranging from large animal hospitals with cutting-edge technology to small centres devoted to housing & caring for abandoned domestic pets and injured wild animals. Their specialist team of welfare officers & inspectors operate a 24 hour service to reduce the rates of animal cruelty and provide assistance to an injured or distressed animal.

You can call this helpline to update your membership information if you have changed your name or address and to change how your receive your subscriptions. The RSPCA is mostly dependent on private donations so they would seriously appreciate any donation you could make to them over the phone. This supporter services helpline is open 9am-5pm Monday-Friday, however an answerphone service is available outside of these hours so you can request a callback if necessary.

Contact the RSPCA 24-hour cruelty helpline 0300 1234 999 to report animal abuse or an injured animal; this is a local-rate phone number which will cost you the same to call as a local 01- or -02 UK number. You can call this number if you suspect an animal is being neglected by its owner or they are being deliberately cruel to their pet. The RSPCA deal with both domestic pets and wild animals so if you see any animal that is injured, trapped or distressed you can phone 0300 1234 999.
